Shandur Polo Fest: Cultural Special is an annual event that takes place in the Shandur Pass, located in the northern areas of Pakistan. The festival is a celebration of the unique cultural heritage of the region, where the game of polo is played on the world’s highest polo ground, at an altitude of over 12,000 feet. The festival attracts thousands of visitors from around the world who come to witness the thrilling matches and immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural atmosphere. “The game of kings & king of games played on the roof of the world” The game of Polo is the national game of tribes who inhabited Chitral and Gilgit. A type of free style polo was patronized by the British authorities and they built some superb polo grounds in different parts of northern Pakistan. The polo ground at Shandur Pass (3700m) is one of them. In the month of July a competition arranged between the top polo teams of the area. You can experience the event yourselves and share the thrill once you watch this fabulous competition.

Drive from Islamabad to Peshawar.
Arrive and transfer to the hotel.

Arrive in Chitral and scenic drive by jeep to Bumboret en route visiting Rambur valley.

Morning drive to Mastuj en route visit Chitral town.
Overnight in Mastuj.

After breakfast drive to Shandur.
Arrive in Shandur and overnight in tents.
